NORTHEAST HARBOR and BANGOR – It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Eric Kohr announces his death April 6, 2007. Eric lost his long and difficult battle with addiction and depression and may now rest in the arms of his loving higher power. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Jackie Bachman and Andy Horner; siblings, Bronwyn Kohr and fianc?, Robert Waters, of Utica, N.Y., Jarod Kohr and wife, Nancy, of Charleston, Mass., and Jason Kohr and wife, Chessie, of Ellsworth; nephew, Ethan; and nieces, Emma and Elizabeth of Ellsworth. He is also survived by his father, Curt Kohr and his wife, Lucy; his maternal grandfather, Lester Bachman; his uncles, Oren and Mike Bachman and their families; his aunts, Sydney Bachman and Fay Kohr Hollinger; and countless life-long friends. Eric will be sorely missed by his firefly soul mate, Karen Casey of Bangor. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Bachman; and his paternal grandparents, Norman and Ethel Kohr. Eric’s family loved and supported him unconditionally during his tortured journey. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Union Church, Northeast Harbor.
