MILLINOCKET – Erick Alan Hayes, 34, of Millinocket slipped peacefully into eternity with God after a long illness June 16, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. Erick was born Aug. 23, 1970, to Janice (Welch) and Edgar Lynch Jr. of Millinocket. Erick graduated from Stearns High School in 1989. He also attended schools in Medway, Region III in Lincoln and JobCorps in Bangor, where he learned janitorial, grounds-keeping and maintenance. Erick is so loved by everyone who knows him. He brought a ray of sunshine and laughter wherever he went. He is survived and sadly missed by his mother and dad, and best friend in the world, Edgar and Janice Lynch of Millinocket; three brothers, Dale Hayes Jr. and his wife, Michelle, Edgar Lynch III and his wife, Lorena, all of Millinocket, Scott Lynch and his partner, Jamie, of Medway; two sisters, Lisa Hayes-Pelkey of Millinocket, and Christine Lynch and her friend, John Bagley, of Clifton; a brother-in-law, Francis Pelkey of Millinocket; special nieces and nephews, Matthew Pelkey and fianc?e, Erin, Amanda Dicker and her husband, Donald III, Jessica Pelkey and her fianc?e, Jeremiah Johnson, Michael Caruso, Miranda Hayes, Brandon Russell, Dale-Ryan Hayes, Lilith Jane Lynch, Scott Lynch Jr., and Ian Roberts. He also leaves the love of his life, Diane Sargeant of Millinocket; a dear friend and “other mother”, Estelle Burleigh and many other dear friends. He is also survived by two special aunts, Rosalie Johnson and family of Bangor, and Colleen Schmidt and family of Patten; a special uncle, John Welch and family of Franklin; and many cousins. A memorial service will be held at the Mattawamkeag Church of God 12 o’clock Sunday, June 19, following the morning worship service with Pastor Mark York officiating.
