RIPLEY – Robert Henry Eaton, 82, passed away unexpectedly, June 15, 2005, at his residence. He was born Jan. 9, 1923, at Dexter the son of Walter and Inez (Gordon) Eaton. He graduated from Dexter High School and entered the United States Marine Corps serving in World War II. He was a farmer and woodsman for many years and was very active in the Veteran’s for Foreign wars Shirley B. Carter Post no. 4298 of Dexter and the American Legion of Dexter and a Mason of Cambridge Lodge no. 157. He was a member of the Ripley Grange No. 462 and a member of the United Methodist Church of Dexter. He is survived by his wife, Mae Eaton; a sister, Doris O’Reilly, of New Hampshire; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by four brothers, Maynard, Warren, Wendel and Joseph. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Burial will be at the Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Augusta, at a future date. <>
