PRESQUE ISLE – Erma K. Cummings, 75, died March 27, 2005, at her home in Presque Isle. She was born Dec. 22, 1929, in Ashland the daughter of William and Gertrude (Murphy) Green. She was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly in Presque Isle. Erma was a member of the Spragueville Extension, the Easton ATV Club and had been very active in the James School Restoration Project. She enjoyed cooking, cake decorating, camping, doll making and was able to play several musical instruments very well. Erma’s most important role in life was that of wife, mother and grandmother. Spending time with her family gave her the most happiness in life. She is survived by her husband, Woodrow Cummings of Presque Isle; sons, Harold Kierstead and his wife, Cathy, of Easton and Steven Kierstead of Presque Isle; daughters, Elaine Noyes and her husband, Larry, of Mapleton and Sandra Ouellette and her husband, William, of Presque Isle; two brothers, Eugene and Richard Green both of Westfield; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by a special friend, Mrs. Charles (Norma) Gudreau of Presque Isle. She was predeceased by her first husband, Willis Kierstead. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Kierstead officiating. A spring interment will be in the Fairmount Cemetery in Presque Isle.
