ORRINGTON – Erma Hall (Roundy) Condon, wife of 70 years of the late John C. Condon, died March 15, 2006, on her 94th birthday. She was born March 15, 1912, in Troy, the youngest of eight children to Melvin F. and Mabel Estelle (Hall) Roundy. Erma was a graduate of Bangor High School and the Eastern School of Beauty Culture of Bangor. For many years she owned and operated Erma’s Beauty Salon of Orono. She was a member of the East Orrington Congregational Church, a 50-year plus member of the Eastern Star with memberships in Star of the East Chapter OES of Hampden, and a past matron of the Millwee Chapter OES of Orrington. Surviving are three children, John B. Condon and his wife, Deanna, of Eddington, Thomas H. Condon of Queensbury, N.Y., Sally A. Condon of Albuquerque, N.M.; son-in-law, James Koritzky of Bangor; four grandchildren, John E. Condon, Todd J. Condon, Brad Condon and Kim (Condon) Shapiro; several great-grand-children, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Lou Koritzky; and a grandson, Greg A. Condon. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Brookings-Smith, Clark Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, with Pastor Carl Schreiber officiating. Spring interment will be in the Marston Cemetery, Orrington. Friends are welcome to call 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of service. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith reception rooms immediately following the service.
