DOVER, N.H. – Ervin V. Bascom, 81, of 18 Applevale Drive, the widower of Dora Eva (Cole) Bascom, died Nov. 14, 2003. He was a native of Frankfort, the son of Henry and Gertrude (Ellingwood) Bascom. He was a graduate of the Hampden schools and was a former resident of Winterport, prior to moving to Dover more than 43 years ago. He was a member of the Harvard Lodge No. 69 of Masons, Winterport. He is survived by three daughters, Judith A. Bascom of Dover, N.H., Rhoda McAtavey of Berwick, Debra Mangum of Barrington; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Glenys Ramer of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, two brothers, Herbert Bascom and Elmer J. Bascom; and a sister, Ethel Nutting, predeceased him. Calling hours are 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover, N.H., where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
