BANGOR – Gladys Irene Elliott, 87, wife of the late Emery W. Elliott, died Nov. 15, 2003, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born April 23, 1916, in Victory Corner, New Brunswick, the daughter of Percy J. and Alma R. (Tilley) York. Gladys was a member of the Columbia Street Baptist Church of Bangor. She is survived by her son, Richard E. Elliott; one brother, Claude W. York; one sister, Annabelle Lynds, all of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Ralph; and one sister, Neta York. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at Evergreen Cemetery in Houlton. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
