LYNDEBOROUGH, N.H. – Essie L. Simpson, 94, died June 10, 2008, at Harborside Health-care Center, Milford, N.H. She was born Oct. 21, 1913, in Portage, a daughter of the late Amos and Anna (LaFerriere) Pinette. Mrs. Simpson had resided in Lyndeborough, N.H., since 1937. She had been employed by Hillsboro Mills, Wilton, N.H., for 20 years; N.H. Ball Bearing Co., Peterborough, N.H., for several years; and later was self-employed as a nurse’s aide and as a housekeeper. Mrs. Simpson was a member of Good News Bible Church, Wilton, N.H., for more than 36 years. She was a loving mot-her, a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Carroll C. Simpson, who died in 2007; and two grandchildren, Anthony Simpson and Morreen Simpson. Family members include two sons, Oren L. Simpson of Milford, N.H., and Kenneth C. Simpson of Lyndeborough, N.H.; a daughter, Caroline J. McQuade of Lyndeborough, N.H.; 12 grandchildren, 25 great- grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marion Hathaway of Rye, N.H.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Good News Bible Church, 27 Hutchinson Road, Wilton, N.H. Burial will be at South Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Lyndeborough, N.H.
