MILLINOCKET – Esther E. (Shaw) Roix was peacefully ushered into heaven by the angels Friday, June 13, 2008, surrounded by her family, at Millinocket Regional Hospital. She was born April 9, 1923, the daughter of Roy and Pearl (McLean) Shaw of Presque Isle. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 64 years, Linwood R. Roix of Millinocket; her four daughters, Donna and Richard Walls and Sandra Murphy, all of Lubbock, Texas, Brenda and Allen Larson of Goffstown, N.H., and Linda and Richard Labby of Millinocket; two brothers, Robert and Merrill Shaw of Presque Isle; two sisters, Patricia Kiser of Easton and Goldena Spencer of Brewer; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters and one brother. Friends are invited to visit with the family 12:30-2 p.m. Monday, June 16, at Living Hope Church of the Nazarene, 1 Palm St., East Millinocket, with a celebration of her life 2 p.m. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
