LINCOLN – Ethel A. Lezberg, 91, wife of the late Joseph Lezberg, died May 22, 2004, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born July 9, 1912, in Lincoln, the daughter of William J. and Ethel (White) Banks. Ethel graduated from Mattanawcook Academy and Gorham Normal School. She worked at various places as a bookkeeper right up until the time she reached age 85. She was a member of the Lincoln Congregational Church, the Pilgrim Daughters and the Chit Chat Club. She is survived by a son, David Lezberg, M.D., and his wife, Janet, of Needham, Mass.; two granddaughters, Alexandra Lezberg and Lauren Lezberg; a sister, Phyllis Banks of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Fred, Frank, John and Lawrence “Pat” Banks; and two sisters, Charlotte MacKenzie and Edith Gordon. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating.
