BREWER and ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Ethel B. Mann, 86, died Sept. 17, 2006, at a Brewer health care facility. She was born Jan. 20, 1920, in Calais, the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (McDonald) Robinson. Ethel worked in Brewer at Eastern Fine Paper for many years. She enjoyed volunteering for the Kitchen Band when she lived in Florida. Ethel loved playing cards, crocheting, puzzles, riding around in her golf cart, painting and enjoyed visiting with friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, sister and friend and will be dearly missed. She is survived by daughters, Patsy Vereault and husband, Charlie, of Bucksport, Donna Wallace and husband, Gerald “Wally,” of Canastota, N.Y., and Gloria Floyd of Clifton; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Mack and Donna Jones of Bucksport and Dave and Betty Allen of Deer Isle. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd C. Mann in 1988; daughters, Jackie Allen, Ann Dunton and husband, Rodney; sisters, Gertie Hastings, Kath Coleman and Lil Brockway; a brother, Richard Robinson; a son-in-law, Larry Floyd; and a great-grandson, Justin Dunton. Friends are invited to visit with the family 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services will begin 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard McLaughlin officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Reception Rooms, 55 South Main St., Brewer, after the interment.
