PRESQUE ISLE – Ethland Rose Randall, 71, died Oct. 21, 2005, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1934, in Castle Hill, the daughter of the late Freeman and Viola York. Ethland worked for many years at Potato Service and Tater State. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, fishing and crossword puzzles. She was also a member of the Presque Isle VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 2599. Ethland is survived by three children, Winifred McEntee and her husband, Gerald, Ruth Munson and her husband, Kenneth Sr., all of Presque Isle, Wendell Randall Jr. of Sevierville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Rachel Lafierriere, Geraldine Nadeau, Jeri McEntee, Kenneth Munson Jr., Paul Munson and Bethany Rediker; three great-grand-children, Brittany Nadeau, Mercedes Cote, Austin Cote; two sisters, Eleanor Gould and Elizabeth Blethen; a brother, Alden York; several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by special friends, Shirley Pelkey, Marie Hall, Bea Giggey, Thirza “Teddy” Martin and Helen York. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Wendell Randall Sr.; three brothers, Walter York Sr., Freeman (Teamer) York Jr. and Albert York. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Asa Cook officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Fairmount Cemetery.
