LINNEUS – Eugene F. Kervin, 80, died unexpectedly May 25, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born March 2, 1928, in Linneus, the son of John and Margaret (Lawlor) Kervin. He was employed for 26 years by the Maine Department of Transportation, retiring in 1979. He then he did small-scale farming as a hobby until 2006. He was very interested in wildlife conservation and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Houlton. Gene is survived by a sister, Vera Kervin of Linneus, several cousins; and his cat, Tabitha. He was predeceased by his parents; and a young brother, Floyd. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Houlton, with Father Ron Labarre, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Houlton.
