FARMINGTON FALLS – Eva B. Campbell, 86, of Farmington Falls died Thursday evening, June 30, 2005, at South Portland Nursing Home, South Portland. She was born April 23, 1919, in New Sharon, a daughter of the late Wallace F. and Gussie F. (House) Bonney. Feb. 1, 1940, Eva married Hugh Campbell Sr., in Farmington. Eva worked for several years at Farmington Shoe and Bass Shoe in Wilton. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Eva enjoyed playing beano and enjoyed attending the activities of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Eva is survived by five daughters, Sister Janet Campbell, RSM of Portland, Helen Gervais and her husband, Richard, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Pamela Berry and her husband, William, of Cousins Island, Yarmouth, Susan Daigle and her husband, James, of Lee, Mary Melcher and her husband, Larry, of Jay; two sons, Dr. Hugh J. Campbell Jr. and his wife, Jane, of Elkton, Md., Michael E. Campbell Sr. and his wife, Susan, of Bangor; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eleanor Campbell of Farmington; nephew, David Patriquin and his wife, Marilyn. In addition to her husband Hugh Sr., she was predeceased by two daughters, Teresa A. Campbell and Diane M. LaPointe. Relatives and friends may call on the family 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at Western Mountains Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2005, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Middle Street, Farmington. The Rev. Roger P. Chabot will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Farmington. Should friends so desire donations may be made in Eva’s memory to Sisters of Mercy Development Office, 605 Stevens Ave., Portland, ME 04103-2691.
