CANAAN – Eva Fay Sisco, 55, a resident of Battle Ridge Road, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at a Bangor hospital, after a period of failing health. She was born April 20, 1951, in Bangor, the daughter of Walter A. And Annie May (Clark) Bowden. Eva Fay attended schools in Canaan and graduated from Skowhegan High School. She also attended two years of college at the University of Maine – Augusta. She was employed by the Newport Citgo for many years retiring in 2002, due to her ill health. Eva Fay was a life member of the Shirley B. Carter VFW Post No. 4298 Auxiliary, Dexter. She enjoyed NASCAR and attended several races in Loudon, N.H., until her health prevented her from going. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and helping her family in any way she could. Eva Fay was predeceased by her father, Walter Bowden in March 2006. She is survived by her mother, Annie May Bowden; her two daughters, Michelle Griffeth and her husband, Chuck, Christine Campbell and her companion, Jeff Dewey; three grandchildren, Amber Griffeth, Tisha and Deven Dewey, all of Canaan; her three bothers, Nelson Bowden and his companion, Linda Jessen, of Canaan, David Bowden and his wife, Lois, of Hartland, Walter Bowden and his wife, Judy, of Newport; her two sisters, Louise Greenier of Canaan and Bonnie Moshier of Clinton; her former husband, Howard Sisco of Hartland; many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb.11, at her mother’s home, 251 Battle Ridge Road, Canaan. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Fairview Cemetery, Hartland Road, Canaan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Louise Greenier, P.O. Box 248, Canaan, ME 04924, to help with funeral expenses. Arrangements are entrusted to Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield.
