HAMPDEN – Eva May (Parent) Mallory, 91, passed away peacefully, March 2, 2005, surrounded by her family at a Bangor nursing facility. She was born Sept. 13, 1913, in Brewer, the daughter of Samuel and Rose (Kinney) Parent. Eva was talented with crafts and owned and operated Mallory’s Ceramic Studio in Hampden for more than 25 years, she also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and making quilts. She was a member of the Eagles Club, and a former member of the Eastern Star, Rebecca’s, and Elks Club. Eva was a loving mother, who had a kind and gentle spirit, was straight forward and a true Mainer at heart. She is survived by her children; sons, Louis Mallory of Oakland, Jay Mallory of Hampden; daughters, Linda Sabacky and her husband, Richard, of Coon Rapids, Minn., and LeeAnne Kenny and her husband, Heinz, of Orrington; grandchildren; Dayle, Eva, Jon, Dwayne, Elizabeth, Gene, Jeffery, Cheryl, John, Carolanne, Chris and Louise; 25 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and one very special niece, Carole Perkins of Hampden. She was predeceased, by her husband, Leon; two daughters, Nancy and Rosalie; by two sons, Richard and George; and a grandson, Louis Mallory II. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden, with the Rev. Phillip Bean, pastor of the South Levant Baptist Church officiating.
