LIBERTY and BELLEAIR, Fla. – Evelyn B. Bennett, 81, of Belleair, Fla., formerly of Weston, Conn., passed away Nov. 27, 2004, at the home of her son. She was born in Weston, Conn., March 27, 1923, to the late John and Hilma Gustafson Bergen. She was a lifelong resident of Weston, Conn., until recent years. While in Weston, she was a secretary for the Weston School District before retiring in 1978. She is survived by a son, William M. (Mary) Bennett, of Chillicothe, Ohio; two grandsons, William A. Bennett and Todd L. (Stacey) Bennett; and a great-granddaughter, Megan N. Bennett. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, William R. Bennett; and two children, Bradley O. and Carolyn J. Bennett. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at the Georgetown United Methodist Church, Georgetown, Conn. Burial will follow in Branchville Cemetery, Ridgefield, Conn. Calling hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Haller Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Program of the donor’s choice.
