CALAIS – Evelyn E. Goggin, 99, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at a Calais nursing home. Evelyn graduated from Calais School of Nursing in 1929. She worked at Calais Regional Hospital, where she was the administrator and she worked in Boston, Mass. and Connecticut. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, James Goggin. Surviving are her sister, Elizabeth Tingley of Calais; a niece, Kay Morrison and husband, Leo, of Calais; nephews, James Tingley and wife, Kathy Ellen, of Texas, and Richard Goggin and wife, Jeannie, of Woodland; and several more nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, in Calais Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
