WATERVILLE – Evelyn Flora Woodward born in Skowhegan, Sept. 3, 1918, passed peacefully in the presence of her loving family and friends on Saturday, March 20, 2004. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and life partner, Erroll Woodward, in 1995; a sister, Dorothy Hackey; a brother, Clifton Pierce; and her niece, Barbara Gibbs. Evelyn was employed at many nursing facilities throughout Maine and Florida, but retired from Pineland Care Facility, where she cared for mentally and physically challenged people. She lived on Beal’s Island until 1998, then moved to the Waterville area to be near her family. She was a devoted Christian and spent her life serving the Lord. She was an active member of the Advent Christian Church on Beal’s Island, until she moved and then joined the Living Waters Ministry in Waterville. A large family that she loved and that loved her survives Evelyn, including her nieces, Juanita McDonald and Kathleen Vigue; a nephew, Robert Gibbs, all of Waterville; three stepchildren, Sonny Woodward and his wife, June, of Prentiss, Kay Seefieldt and husband, Roy, of New Sharon, and Sandra Mallory of Calais; grandchildren, Bradley Woodward of Beals, Heather Millan of Indiana, Jay Woodward of Turner, Kenny Peabody, Glenn Seefieldt, Lorna Leach, Erik Pike, Zachary Pike and Joshua Mallory of Maine. Also surviving her are her nieces and nephews, Sherry Cookson of Burnham, James Burrows, Brenda Smyles of Seattle, Keith Burrows of Germany, Timothy Burrows, Shawn Greaves of Waterville, Linda Pruitt of Missouri, Kevin Gibbs, Donna Duenas and Jenny Walker of Washington. She also has many great-nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Beals Advent Christian Church, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Phil Barton, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport. Arrangements are by the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Milbridge..
