HERMON and MEDWAY – Fay Hiram Trueworthy, 68, went peacefully home to be with his Lord Dec. 27, 2004. He was born Aug. 3, 1936, in Medway the son of Fredrick A. and Nora (Fowles) Trueworthy. He was a wonderful father, brother, grandfather, great- grandfather, and husband, who was loved by all. Fay provided for his family by working in construction for many years, and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Roene (Thompson) Trueworthy; a son, Gerald A. Thompson; four daughters, Tina M. Trueworthy-O’Neill, Francine E. Trueworthy, Tonya L. Trueworthy, Faith H. Trueworthy; grandchildren, Tori, Josh, Justin, Nikki, Damian, Shavon, and Tyrese; great-grandchildren, Michaela and Zachary; a brother, Pastor Brent Trueworthy and wife, Suzanne; three sisters, Shirley Faloon, Leora Ladd and husband, Alan, Belinda Robinson and husband, Rev. Phil, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, lost at birth, Marguerite and Naomi; a brother-in-law, George Faloon; and a son-in-law, Thomas “Ed” O’Neill. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12-1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 30, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m., with Pastor Brent Trueworthy and the Rev. Phil Robinson, officiating. Interment will be at Maine Veteran Cemetery, Augusta. Gifts in his memory may be made in support of the family care of Roene Trueworthy, 365 Clark Road, Hermon, ME 04401.
