MILBRIDGE – Fay L. Merchant, 62, died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at a Boston hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1942, in Jonesport, the daughter of Myron and Hilda (Groves) Peabody. Fay is survived by her mother, Hilda Peabody of Jonesport; her husband, George Merchant of Milbridge; a daughter, Kim Carmean and her husband, Steven, of Cherryfield; a son, Michael Dorr of Columbia Falls; a stepdaughter, Melissa Drisko and her husband, Lester, of Addison; a brother, Wayne Peabody and his wife, Winifred, of Jonesport; five grandchildren, Stephanie McIntosh, Jennifer and Michelle Carmean, and Matthew and Angelina Drisko; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Fay was predeceased by her father in 1987. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge.
