BUCKSPORT and ORRINGTON – Faye Gray, 49, formerly of Orrington, died Monday, March 3, 2007, at a local hospital, after a determined battle against leukemia. Faye was the daughter of the late Peter O’Neil and Lola Carmichael Lyford. She attended Brewer schools and was a member of the Class of 1976. Shortly thereafter she went for work for Bangor Mental Health Institute, retiring in 2004. Surviving are her husband, Robert C. Gray of Bucksport; two children and one grandchild, Matthew C. Gray and his daughter, Cassandra of Orrington, and Melissa L. Gray of Levant; brother and sister-in-law/friends, Anthony and Linda Nowell of Brewer; numerous family members, all of whom were very dear to her; and her Estrofest Sisters. A celebration of Faye’s life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, at East Orrington Congregational Church.
