PRESQUE ISLE and WATERTOWN, Mass. – Faye Eunice Maynard, 75, passed away peacefully Monday, June 27, 2005, at a healthcare facility in Watertown, Mass. She was born July 23, 1929, at Presque Isle, the daughter of Albert and Catherine (McInnis) Maynard. Faye enjoyed riding her bike, listening to records, and enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics while attending the Opportunity Training Center. She loved her cats and dog. She appreciated all her friends and neighbors on the Washburn Road who took the time to fix her bike by oiling her chain when she asked them to. Faye is survived by a brother, Garfield Maynard; a sister, Dorothy (Maynard) Pelham, both of Presque Isle; a sister, Mildred Mariano of Watertown, Mass.; many nieces and nephews, and she was a great-aunt and a great-great-aunt. In addition to her parents; Faye was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Sprague; and five brothers, Paul, Preston, Lawrence, Milford, and Russell. Relatives and friends may call 10-11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Alfred Irving celebrant. Interment will be at Johnson Cemetery, Presque Isle. A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.
