BANGOR – Faye Evelyn Murray, 57, died Aug. 10, 2006, in Bangor. She was born April 7, 1949, in Dexter, the daughter of Raymond Edward and Mary Gladys (Stevens) Murray. Faye loved to crochet, knit and was a great cook. She recently received her general equivalency diploma and was hoping that someday she could get through school to become a substance abuse councilor. Faye volunteered often to help people in need in their recovery of drug and alcohol addiction. She graduated from drug court and alcohol anonymous. More then anything her family was her life and she deeply loved her grandchildren. Her grandchildren loved her very much, she was a wonderful grandmother, she will be sadly missed and we will see her again some day. She is survived by a son, Rodney Murray and wife, Carie, of Winterport; siblings, Raymond Murray Jr. and wife, Ethel, of St. Albans, Sandra Greenside of Newport, Vernon Murray and wife, Pat, of Sangerville, David Murray of Newport, Donna Becker of Newport, Wanda Sue Farmer of East Newport, John Murray and wife, Debbie, of Newport; grandchildren, Rodney, Eric, Julia, Jacob, Jordyn; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends that were close to her over the years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Jeannette E. Metivier and Pamela Ann Estabrook; and by a special aunt and uncle, Florence and Carl “Lucky” Gore. A service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Clayton Blackstone, pastor of the Advent Christian Church, officiating.
