EASTPORT – John C. Greenlaw, 75, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at a Machias nursing home. John was born July 14, 1931, in Eastport, son of the late John and Martha (Avery) Greenlaw. He was employed with Mearl Corp. for many years. John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW and the Fourth of July Committee in Eastport. John enjoyed traveling, yard sales, spending time with his grandchildren and talking to everyone. He was predeceased by three sisters, Virginia Ohmeis, Gladys Carter and Martha Morrison. Surviving are his loving wife, Ruth (Dudley) Greenlaw; two daughters, Doreen Johnson and husband, Brian and Ellen Greenlaw and friend, Ricky Green, all of Eastport; two brothers, Gordon and Calvin Greenlaw, both of Eastport; four grandchildren, Opal Wilder, Brandi Johnson, Tiffany Townsend and Nicholas Johnson; seven great-grand-children, Niomi, Breanna, Samantha, Cassidy, Logan, Devon and Alan; and many nieces and nephews.
