LINCOLN – Faye I. (Stevens) Miller, 81, passed away peacefully Feb. 13, 2004, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 1, 1923, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Harold and Beryl (Leathers) Stevens. She was a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln. Faye worked at the textile mill in Lincoln for more than 42 years. She loved sharing her home on Chesley Hill with friends and family, spending her time making Christmas wreathes, sewing crafts, singing and playing her harmonica, and having an occasional yard sale. Surviving cancer for more than 20 years, Faye was an inspiration to the Penobscot Valley Support Group, of which she was an active member for many years. Her loving and caring ways will be missed by the countless friends and relatives whose lives she has touched. She leaves behind her daughter, Connie House and her husband, Lee, of Lincoln; two brothers, Richard Stevens and his wife, Judith, of East Corinth, and Harland Stevens and his wife, Grace, of Lincoln; two sisters-in-law, Frances Stevens and Carolyn Neal, of Lincoln; six grandchildren, Ronald L. Miller III and his wife, Jodi, Patrick and Brady House of Lincoln, Todd Miller and his wife, Jennifer, of Westbrook, and Laurel Norris and her husband, Robert, of Lee, Jonathan Miller of Breckenridge, Colo.; six great-grandchildren, Jesse and Samantha Miller of Lincoln, Joshua and Robert Norris of Lee, Linnaea Faye Miller and Kayla Hicks of Westbrook; and several nieces and nephews. Faye also leaves her cherished friends at Mattanawcook Terrace in Lincoln and long time family friends, Mike and Brenda Salvato of Lincoln and Reverend Ross and Kathy Hodgedon of Fairfield. She was predeceased by her parents; a son, Ronald L. Miller Jr.; and two brothers, Roger Stevens Sr. and Howard Stevens. Graveside services will be held at the Lincoln Cemetery in the spring.
