CARIBOU – Fern Emily Walton, 92, died Jan. 11, 2006, at Caribou. She was born June 22, 1913, in Caribou, the daughter of Norman and Iva (McIntosh) Jones. She married Raymond Walton, Oct. 21, 1933 and was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Surviving in addition to her husband of more than 72 years, Raymond of Caribou; are two daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Wayne Lister of Caribou and Joyce and Wayne Hobbs of Wade; four sisters, Esther Gallagher of Caribou, Pauline Drake of Presque Isle, Beatrice Wilcox and Eva Usyk, both of Utica, N.Y.; her half-sister, Elta Kilcollins of Fort Fairfield; and her stepsister, Philippa Clesielski of Presque Isle; three half-brothers, Roger Jones of Caribou, Ralph Jones of Fort Fairfield and Melvin Jones of Connecticut; a son-in-law, Richard Alvarez of Charleston, S.C.; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, six great-great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Walton was predeceased by her daughter, Shirley Alvarez; three brothers, Claude, Delton and Elwood Jones; and a stepsister, Gwen Gould Elliott. Friends may call noon Monday, until time of services, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at the funeral home, with Rev. Anna Beach, pastor of Gray Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
