ATHENS, Ala. and CARIBOU Fern Thibodeau, wife of the late Jess “Frenchy” Thibodeau, passed away May 26, 2005, in Athens, Ala. She was born April 13, 1914, in Caribou, the daughter of Fred and Lottie (Pelletier) Parent. She was educated in the Caribou public school system. She lived in Connecticut a number of years and worked for Hartford Transportation until her retirement. She and her husband moved to Florida, where they lived for 30 odd years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Brooksville and was an active member of the church guild. After Hurricane Frances ruined her home she moved to Alabama. She was kind and loving and will be missed by her son, Robert Nadeau of Florida; a daughter, Theresa, and husband, Stanley Tompkins of Athens, Ala.; daughter-in-law, Helen Nadeau of Connecticut; one sister, Dorothy Foster of Bangor; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son, Roland Nadeau; a sister, Joan Holmes; and a brother, Kenneth Parent. Funeral services were held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Brooksville, Fla. Arrangements by Turner Funeral Home, Brooksville, Fla.
