CARIBOU – Fernand M. Cyr, 64, beloved husband, father and grandfather died unexpectedly Feb. 4, 2005, at West Palm Beach, Fla. He was born Dec. 31, 1940, in St. David, the son of Levi and Regina (Saindon) Cyr. Mr. Cyr owned and operated Burger Boy Restaurant in Caribou for many years. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was also a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Fern enjoyed antiques and restoring and driving antique autos, and was an accomplished organ and piano player. He married Rowena (Thibeault) Cyr Oct. 26, 1961. Surviving in addition to his wife of more than 43 years, Rowena of Caribou; are three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Angie Cyr and Ken and Sue Cyr, all of Nevada, Mo. and Ryan and Jennifer Cyr of Freeport; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and Dan Levasseur of Caribou and Trina and Rick Rocha of Castle Rock, Colo.; two brothers, Conrad Cyr of St. David and Gerald Cyr of Bristol, Conn.; one sister, Jeanne Lavertu of St. David; nine grandchildren, Deidra, David and Dean Levasseur, Shane, Leesha, Derrian and Morgan Cyr and Daniel and Stetson Rocha; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Cyr was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Robert and Ralph; and a granddaughter, Sheena. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. David Raymond officiating. Interment will be in the New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
