SOLDIER POND – Ernestine Beaulieu, 86, died peacefully amongst her family Feb. 7, 2005, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. She was born Jan. 8, 1919, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Benoit and Mattie (Babin) Voisine. Ernestine was a past member of the Ladies of St. Anne in Wallagrass. She is survived by one daughter, Rena Daigle and her husband, Richard, of Bristol, Conn.; five sons, Carl and his wife, Ann, of Soldier Pond, Harold of Soldier Pond, Dana and his wife, Hilda, of Soldier Pond, Rodney and his wife, Ellen, of Plantsville, Conn. and Alan and his wife, Lucy, of Soldier Pond; two sisters, Theresa Nadeau of New Britian, Conn. and Jeanette Theriault of Fort Kent; five grandsons, five granddaughters, four great-grandsons, four great-granddaughters, many nieces and nephews. In addition to both her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Beaulieu in 2004; by two daughters, Jennie in 1949 and Ellen in 1960; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce in 1995; grandson, Marc in 1996; and one son, Roland in 2004. She was also predeceased by several brothers and one sister. Friends may call 9 a.m. Thursday until time of departure for Soldier Pond, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Soldier Pond, with the Rev. Bill Labbe officiating. Spring burial will be May 16, 2005, in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Soldier Pond. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Forest Hill Manor Activities, care of Forest Hill Manor, 25 Bolduc Ave., Fort Kent, ME 04743.
