BREWER – Florence Larkin Wagner died Oct. 16, 2007, in Bangor. Florence or “Tiss,” as she was known to her family, was born Dec. 17, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y., to James Crate Larkin and Florence Wagner Larkin. Florence loved to write letters and visit with her daughters and family. She loved books and reading, and was an accomplished poet. Florence is survived by her brother, Robert Larkin of Atlanta; as well as daughters, Gracia Berrocal of Jackson, Sheila Dolan of Santa Cruz, Calif., Donna Hightower of Brewer, Laura Hammond of Visalia, Calif., and Amy Cooke of Nevada City, Calif. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and five great-grand-children. She was predeceased by her brother, James Crate Larkin Jr. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Pilgrim Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Bangor, with Chaplain Richard M. Dickinson officiating.
