BANGOR and ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Florence Wotton, 97, wife of the late Carl H. Wotton, died Jan. 13, 2006, in Zephyrhills, Fla. She was born Feb. 11, 1908, in Bangor, the daughter of Fred A. and Ethel I. (Boden) Peavey. She was employed at R.B. Dunning Co. and Freese’s department store. Mrs. Wotton was a life-time member of the Columbia Street Baptist Church, a member of the Pricilla Circle, the Goodwill Class and was a Sunday school teacher. She attended Victory Baptist Church, Zephyrhills, Fla. Surviving are a daughter, Shirley A. Barrett of Zephyrhills, Fla.; two grandsons, Brendan M. Barrett, of Galway, Ireland; Sean P.M. Barrett of Honolulu, Hawaii; nieces, Charlotte Connelly of Tampa, Fla., Marilyn Loring of Zephyrhills, Fla., Patricia Smith of Middletown, Conn., Phyllis Topalis of Baytown, Texas, Olive Duran of Kensington, Conn., Ruth Edgerly of Zephyrhills, Fla. and Mary Lou Hatt of Dade City, Fla. and their families; a sister-in-law, Thelma Peavey of Bangor, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Private interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Columbia Street Baptist Church, 63 Columbia St., Bangor, ME 04401.
