MILLINOCKET – Florida Lozier, 93, wife of the late Lucien Lozier, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, in Millinocket, while a resident of Katahdin Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 3, 1915, at Eagle Lake, the daughter of Joseph and Celina (Albert) Soucy. She was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Millinocket; Daughters of Isabella, Little Flower Circle, Millinocket; the Ladies of St. Anne of Soldier Pond and various prayer groups. In earlier years, she worked as a cashier at a department store in Lansing, Mich. Florida is survived by her brothers, Richard Soucy and his wife, Sylvia, Norman Soucy and his wife, Mona, all of Florida, Gordon Soucy of Connecticut and Gerald Soucy and his wife, Geralda, of Canada; grandsons, Greig Barker II, Randy Barker and Robert Brown, all of Maine; three great-granddaughters, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Florida will also be missed by her good friends, Mary and David Labun. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Eileen Barker Brown; brothers, Ted, Camille and Harold Soucy; and sisters, Emelda Mosher, Lenora Freeman and Exila Smart. Friends are invited to visit with the family 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 112 Maine Ave., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider.
