BANGOR – Florine O. Thibodeau, wife of the late Leo. L. Thibodeau, died Sept. 24, 2004, in Portland. She was born in St. Francis, the daughter of Ralph and Emily Sirois Ouellette. Mrs. Thibodeau was educated in the Houlton schools, graduating from Houlton High School and Aroostook State Normal School in Presque Isle. She was a teacher for more than 20 years having taught for the State Department’s unorganized areas of the Allagash in Umsaskis, Churchill, St. Francis and in Bangor, retiring in 1965. Mrs. Thibodeau was an active member of St. Mary’s Sodality Council and St. Mary’s Senior Citizen’s Group as well as a communicant of St. Mary’s Parish. We remember her as a very caring and loving friend, a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are a son, David, and his wife, Catherine of Isleboro; three daughters, Ann Bishop of Hermon; and her good friend, Ralph Hamill; Joan Fenno and her husband, George of Westbrook, Patricia Susan Baker and her husband, Raymond, of Brunswick; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo in 1977 and a son, John Joseph in 1971. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Clement D. Thibodeau, presider. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday, at Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. Interment will be a Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery.
