HODGDON – Floyd L. Stewart, 79, died Feb. 13, 2005, at a local hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born Oct. 26, 1925, the son of Georgie (Stevens) and Ervin Stewart. Floyd attended local schools and served in the U.S. Navy at a Carpenter’s Mate third class, U.S.N.R. from Jan. 19, 1944 to May 17, 1946, upon which he received an Honorable Discharge. He is survived by five children, a son, Robert Stewart and his wife, Elaine, of Ludlow; daughters, Sandra Austin of New Limerick, Janice and her husband, William Dee, of Mainestream, N.B., Darleen and her husband, Larry Guy, of New Limerick, and Doreen Stewart of New Limerick; and the mother of his children, Loretta Stewart of New Limerick; nine grandchildren, Adam Stewart, Patricia Richardson, Bobbi-Jo Paradis, April Bowers, Anthony Stewart, Corey Austin, Angela Hannigan, Jason Guy and Jessica Guy; 12 great-grandchildren, brothers, Lee Stewart of Linneus, Glen Stewart and his wife, Vallie, of Linneus, and Dale Stewart of North Carolina; a sister, Joyce and her husband, Terry Tracy, of Houlton and many nieces and nephews. Floyd was predeceased by a great-grandson, Stephen McGary; a son-in-law, Donald Austin; a sister, Elva Sawyer; his brothers, Wendell and Clifton Stewart; and a special friend, Evelyn Burpee. Floyd will be missed by all his BINGO buddies. Family and friends may call between 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St. Funeral Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, with Pastor Richard Murray officiating. A spring interment will be held in Linneus cemetery.
