FORT KENT – Frances C. Roy, 87, died June 24, 2004, at Forest Hill Manor in Fort Kent. She was born March 20, 1917, in St. Francis, the daughter of Docite and Mateldia (Pelletier) Thibodeau. Frances worked at J.J. Newberry’s as store manager for many years. She is survived by six daughters, Jane and her husband, Arnold Charette, of Millinocket, Gail Caron of Waterbury, Conn., Lorette and her husband, Rodney Clark, of Presquet, Ariz., Brenda and her husband, Doody Michaud, of Fort Kent, Jean and her husband, Patrick Voisine, of Fort Kent and Peggy and her husband, Gerard Ouellette, of St. Francis, New Brunswick; three sisters, Melinda Charette of Fort Kent, Maggie Paradis of Southington, Conn. and Velma Nadeau of St. John; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Levite Caron in 1964 and her second husband, Roland Roy in 1987; two brothers, Elmer and Maurice Thibodeau; and one sister, Melinda Blair. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent 12 noon Saturday until the time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating.
