PLEASANT POINT – Frances Lisa Nicholas, 49, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Frannie was born May 12, 1959, in Hartford, Conn., daughter of the late John and Eva (Nicholas) Zanes. After high school, she graduated from Washington County Community College, where she received several degrees and certificates. Frannie was employed for DiCenzo Construction, where she drove a dump truck until her illness. Frannie enjoyed bingo, crafts, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Darryl Nicholas Sr.; a sister, Heidi Andoscia; her grandparents, Calvin and Frances Nicholas; and an aunt, Dolores Koffler. Surviving are her three children, Stephen Evans and his wife, Eunice Homan, Lewis Evans and his fiancee, Brenda Francis, and Melissa Evans, all of Pleasant Point, and their father, Steve Evans of New Jersey; two sisters, Noreen Townsend and her husband, Jeffrey, of Chandler, Ariz., and Alice Nicholas of Pleasant Point; two brothers, David Nicholas of Pleasant Point and Alphonse Andoscia III of Harrisburg, Pa.; aunts and uncles, Carl and Faye Nicholas of Indian Township, and Calvin and Patricia Nicholas of Perry; her special friend and companion, Donald Dunbar Jr. of Perry; sisters-in-law, Gail Stevens of Indian Township, and Viola Francis and her daughter, Amanda, of Pleasant Point; two special cousins, Billy and Alex Nicholas of Indian Township; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 1 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the home of her sister, Alice Nicholas, 37 Warrior Road, Pleasant Point. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ann R.C. Church.
