PRESQUE ISLE – Frances M. Gagnon, 75, wife of the late James E. Gagnon, died early Monday morning, Jan. 26, 2004, at the Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. She was born Sept. 12, 1928, at Wade, the daughter of Frank and Ada P. (Richardson) Lewis. She was a loving mother and grandmother, she loved to cook, read, crochet, and worked in her garden. Frances loved and adored her pets. She was a member of the Presque Isle Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. She is survived by five daughters, Gloria Jones and her friend, Floyd Burby, of Caribou, Linda Gagnon of Presque Isle, Kathy McClintock and her husband, Bradley, of Woodsville, N.H., Holly Embelton and her husband, Donald, and Colleen Smith, all of Presque Isle; three sons, Ronald Gagnon and his wife, Tammy, Reginald Gagnon, and Roger Gagnon and his wife, Kelly, all of Presque Isle; a sister, Ada Beals of Mars Hill; 12 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, James, in 1989; a daughter, Brenda Gagnon; and an infant brother, John Wayne Lewis. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Thomas Blackstone officiating. Relatives and friends may call 12 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Spring interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
