ORONO – Racheal Ann Gerrish, 59, died Jan. 24, 2004, at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 29, 1944, in Middletown, Conn., the daughter of Orlando and Ellen (Johnson) Hunnewell. Surviving are her husband, John Gerrish of Orono; two sons, Donald Ellison and his wife, Sharon, of Indiana, and Winston Ellison of Kansas; foster mother, Audrey White; foster brothers and sisters, Cleta, Bruce and Mark; stepchildren, Jenny and her husband, Mark Blier, Bobby Gerrish and his wife, Rita, Jeff Friedman and his friend, Polly, Scott Gerrish and his wife, Michelle, Chris Gerrish and Rita Wisehart; niece and nephew, Betty Ladd and Rick Vining and their family; nephew, Bert Ladd and family; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews; special friends, Marlene Dorman, Mary Ellen Michaud, Randy and Cheryl DeHate; and many friends at Eastern Maine Medical Center through her 18 years of service. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty Driscoll Ladd; and her foster father, William White. Relatives and friends may call from 12-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at 27 Schoppe Drive, Orono.
