HOULTON – Frances M. Atkinson Kirlin, 75, passed away Aug. 21, 2006. Born 1930, in Union Corner, New Brunswick, daughter of George and Laura (McIntrye) Atkinson, sister of Thelma, Delmont and Wendell. Frances was a hard worker most of her life. Many people will remember her from her years at Dana’s Restaurant, Aroostook Diner, Cleo’s Restaurant and Shiretown Motel. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis James Kirlin. She leaves behind five children, Patricia, Sandra, Francis, Michael and Deborah; 14 grandchildren, including Richard, Denise, Andrew, April, Desiree, Brittany and Jacob, who were blessed to live in Houlton with their “Gram”; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Frances will be missed by special friends, Molly and Chet, who were there for Frannie and her children to the end. Hospice of Aroostook and the Visiting Nurses Association provided loving care and comfort for Frances and her family. For all of these people, her family asks they carry the memory of the peace they brought to Frances and her family. Her family will always be grateful for the loving care all these people provided for Frances. The family wishes that Jane, Karen, Julie and Debbie remember the peace they brought to Frances and her family and to Marilyn and Ginny for the companionship and support. Our mother was a most loving and caring woman. Her children and grandchildren were blessed to have her. Good-bye, mom. We love you and always will. Thanks for loving us.
