BANGOR – Frances R. Golden, 76, died Aug. 29, 2004, at a Bangor health care center. She was born June 14, 1928, in Bangor, the daughter of Francis R. and Anna A. (Kiah) Golden. Frannie was a life-long resident of Bangor and had lived at Penobscot Area Housing in Bangor for 15 years under the watchful eye of Joan Farrell and staff. She had a keen sense of humor, was an avid bingo player and enjoyed participating in the activities at the Ralph Leek Elder Program. Surviving are two brothers, Hugh Golden and his wife, Lorraine of South Carolina, and James Golden and his wife, Therese of California; five sisters, twin sister, Ann Crane and her husband, John, of Bangor, Jean Brennan of Bangor and Florida, Pat Eldridge and her husband, Kenneth, of Florida, Janet Albert and her husband, Jim, of Augusta and Linda Baillargeon and her husband, Paul, of Old Town; one aunt, Joan Boucher and her husband, Dom, of Brunswick; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Richard Brennan. Frannie’s family would like to thank the staff and friends at Eastside Rehab. & Living Center for their care and support. Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Rudolph J. Leveille, officiating.
