MACHIAS – Francis Thomas Randall, 68, passed away quietly on July 19, 2004, at Down East Community Hospital after an extended illness. He was born April 2, 1936, in Cutler, the son of the late Audley W. and Mary E. (Sheridan) Randall. Francis worked in many different fields during his lifetime, including working as a carpenter and a boat-builder. He was instrumental in the starting of the Cutler Volunteer Fire Department and served for many years on the Cutler Planning Board. Francis enjoyed bowling, square dancing, fishing, and was an avid Red Sox fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Marilyn Randall of Machias; daughters, Marcia Segura and husband, Carlos, of Laurel, Md. Julie Huntley and husband, Richard Huntley Jr., of Enfield, N.H., Nola Cole and husband, Rick, of Ellsworth, and Shannon Little of White River Junction, Vt.; stepchildren, Harold Sheridan and wife, Jennifer, of Mondovi, Wis., and Patricia Miceli and husband, Michael, of Londonderry, N.H.; grandchildren, Adrian Segura of Los Angeles, Calif., Megan Randall of Miami Beach, Fla., Matthew Segura of Laurel, Md., Aimee, Thomas, James Little and Bailey Rizzo, all of White River Junction, Vt., Derek Cole of Ellsworth, Brady, Brooklyn, and Joselyn Sheridan, all of Mondovi, Wis., and Tanya Oaks of Cutler; and great-grandchild, Mikayla Oaks; siblings, Shirley Innis of Merrimac, Mass., Esther Auer of West Bend, Wis., Elizabeth Harmon of East Machias, Barbara Donovan of Amesbury, Mass., Gilbert Sheridan of Old Town, Asa Sheridan and Neil Sheridan of Cutler, Eugene Sheridan of Port Richey, Fla., and Roger Sheridan of Bryan, Texas; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Richard Ramsdell and Aubrey Dwelley, both of East Machias, and Peter Taylor Jr. of Cutler. He was predeceased by his former wife and mother of his four daughters, Norma Louise McFadden. Visitation will take place 2-3 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Machias where a funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m., officiated by Aubrey Dwelley.
