CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla., and BANGOR – Francis C. (Fran) Herbert, husband of Pat Herbert passed away March 6, 2004, in Cape Canaveral Fla. There will be a memorial service 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22, at St. Johns Catholic Church on York Street in Bangor. Family and friends are invited to attend. His ashes will be spread in Bagaduce Bay in Castine at 1 p.m. following the service. Maine Maritime Academy, where Fran graduated from in 1953 is providing a boat. There is limited space available, however the ceremony can be observed from the shore.
