STEUBEN – Francis E. Turco, 78, died July 21, 2004, at a Milbridge healthcare facility. He was born Aug. 20, 1925, the son of Louis and Jane (Clokey) Turco. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1942-1946 during World War II. Francis worked on the Alaskan Pipeline and lived with his wife, Marie in Fairbanks, Ala., for many years before retiring to Steuben in 1980. He is survived by his son, Louis Turco; a grandson, Sean Turco; a great-niece, Manina, all of Fairbanks, Ala.; two brothers-in-law, Willis Fields of Hancock, and John Fields and his wife, Maureen; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marie, in March of 2003. Friends are invited to call 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Milbridge, where services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge.
