FORT FAIRFIELD – Frank H. White, 72, husband of Mrs. Louise A. (Giberson) White, passed away peacefully Monday morning Aug. 15, 2005, at his Fort Fairfield residence, following an extended illness. He was born May 15, 1933, at Fort Fairfield, the son of Herman O. and Ivy (Gallop) White. A lifelong resident of Fort Fairfield, he was married to Louise A. Giberson on May 10, 1957. Frank owned and operated the family farm for many years and was a member of the former Eastern Frontier Masonic Lodge No. 112 AF & AM., Fort Fairfield where he was raised to the degree of Master Mason on June 21, 1967. He became affiliated with the Trinity Masonic Lodge No. 130 AF & AM, Presque Isle, on April 14, 1989 and received his twenty-five year pin in 1994. Frank was a member of the Anah Temple Shrine, the Fort Fairfield Fish and Game Club and served as director of the Agricultural Bargaining Council for several years. Frank was an avid sportsman who greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling and genuinely loved being a potato farmer. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. Frank was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife of fort-eight years, Louise A. White of Fairfield; one son, Frank G. White of Lewiston; four daughters, Karen Holcomb and her husband, Frank, of Standish, Kim M. White of Presque Isle, Laurie L. Glasser and her husband, Jim, of Raleigh, North Carolina, Lynn L. White of Valatia, New York; one brother, Winston “Wink” White and his wife, Thelma, of Sorrento; five grandchildren, Jordan White of Shediac, New Brunswick, Canada, Holly, Daniel and Rachel Glasser, all of Raleigh, North Carolina and Ben White of Lewiston, who Frank loved as his own son; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 17, 2005, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a Masonic Memorial Service will be conducted 7 p.m. by the members of the Trinity Masonic Lodge NO. 130, Presque Isle. A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday Aug. 18, 2005, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
