Detroit_- Frank J. Woodworth, 76, died April 5, 2004, at the Sebasticook Valley Healthcare Facility, after an extended illness. He was born May 31, 1927, in Evanston, Ill., the son of Luther and Nora Woodworth. Frank served in the Navy in the South Pacific. During his life, he worked as an auto body repairman and had his own business as Woodworth’s Auto Hospital for many years before becoming an integral part of Frank Woodworth, Inc. Frank was a registered Maine Guide. He was an avid fisherman, expert fly fiSherman_and an avid hunter. He was also active in the Peltoma Fish and Game Club for many years. Frank resided in Detroit_for most of his adult life, but he also wintered in Ocala, Fla., with his wife. Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife of 40 years, Jane (Shorey) Woodworth. He is survived by his son, Frank L. Woodworth and his wife, Elaine, of Detroit; daughter, Sissi Ayer and her husband, William, of Detroit; granddaughter, Nicole Woodworth of Detroit and currently of the Boston area while attending Boston University; special friends, Louise Friend of Ocala, Fla., and Joe and Greta Cianchette of Detroit; and caregivers, Kathy Sinclair and the wonderful people of the Sebasticook Valley Healthcare Facility. Per Frank’s wishes there will be no funeral service. Anyone wishing to may donate in Frank’s name to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 1 Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086-1246.
