HAINES CITY, Fla. – Frank R. Kenney, 86, died June 28, 2007, in Davenport, Fla., due to heart failure. He was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Mapleton. Frank had been a winter resident of Haines City, Fla., since 1984 and permanently moved there in 2000 from North Haven, Conn. He was a potato farmer in Aroostook County, owned and operated State Road General Store, Mapleton, and retired from Pratt & Whitney, Connecticut. Frank was a member of First Baptist Church, Davenport, Fla., and a long-standing Masonic brother. He was predeceased by his wife, Glennys Gregg Kenney, in 1999. He is survived by his companion, Kathryn Love of Haines City, Fla.; children, Janice and Henry St. Hilaire of Wallingford, Conn., and Neil and Kathy Kenney of Andover, Conn.; brother, Linwood Kenney of Washburn; sister, Arline Knight of Chapman; grandchildren, Eric Higgins, Mel Higgins and Justine Kenney; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at First Baptist Church, Davenport, Fla. An inurnment will be held in the summer at Chapman Cemetery.
