ARLINGTON, Texas – Joyce Emerson Boylan, 79, a retired registered nurse, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 17, 2007. She was born Feb. 23, 1928 in Newport, a daughter of Raymond R. and Myrtle (Ware) Emerson. She graduated from Newport High School in 1945. She has three children, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who reside in Texas. She is also survived by two sisters, Rena M. Tardy and Phyllis Henderson, both of Newport; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three infant boys and a girl. Arrangements are pending.
