MATTAWAMKEAG- Frank X. Simon Jr., 75, died Oct. 17, 2003, at the home of his nephew, Tim-othy Simon and his wife, Susan, where he made his home for the last four years. He was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Old Town, the son of Frank X. Simon Sr. and Bernice (Bradeen) Simon. Frank was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked at James River. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed going to his camp. In addition to his nephew, Timothy of Mattawamkeag, he is survived by three brothers, Cecil Simon and his wife, Janice, of Bangor, James Simon of Old Town, and Charles Simon and his wife, Loraine, of Danforth; a brother-in-law, James Cyr of Old Town; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Cyr. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Rich Pant‚ officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
