FORT KENT – Doris M. Paradis, 66, died Oct. 15, 2003. She was born Aug. 9, 1937, in Fort Kent, the daughter of O’Neil and Irene (Nadeau) Daigle. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and customers. Doris owned a family restaurant for 45 years in Fort Kent and will be missed sadly by her established customers. She is survived by her five children, John Paradis of Fort Kent, Louise Paradis of Bangor, Janice Paradis of Belfast, Glenn Paradis of Reading, Mass. and Karen Maxson of Stuart, Fla. She is also survived by her siblings, Bernice Pelletier of Shirley Long Island, N.Y., Jacqueline Bouchard of Toms River, N.J., Richard Daigle of Manassas, Va., Guy Daigle of Long Pond, Pa., Reno Daigle of Tampa, Fla., Nancy Caron of Fort Kent, Ronnie Daigle of Henryville, Pa., Linda Daigle Marquis of St. John, Maurice Daigle of Long Pond, Pa., Brenda Daigle of Fort Kent, Connie Childress of Browns Mills, N.J.; 10 grandchildren, Anne Rice, Shayna Hebert, Stephen Paradis, Carly Rae Paradis, Courtney Louise Paradis, Chelsey Jane Paradis, Adam Paradis, Megan Paradis, Christopher Maxson and Shane Maxson; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joan Matthews, Donald Daigle, Patsy Belanger, Rose Marie Daigle, Thelma Bouley, and Marc Daigle; as well as her daughter, Marian Paradis. Friends may call 8-10 a.m. Monday at Daigle and Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent until the time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating, at the St. Louise Catholic Church in Fort Kent, followed by a committal service in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
